Shoeholics Joins An Environmental Cause

Rainforest Action Network campaigns for the forests, their inhabitants and the natural systems that sustain life by transforming the global marketplace through education, grassroots organizing and non-violent direct action.

Since it was founded in 1985, the Rainforest Action Network has been working to protect rainforests and the human rights of those living in and around those forests. From the beginning, RAN has played a key role in strengthening the worldwide rainforest conservation movement through supporting activists in rainforest countries as well as organizing and mobilizing consumers and community action groups throughout the United States. For more than 28 years, RAN has brought the voices of the people and the planet to the world’s largest corporations, enabling the type of change that can only be achieved through sophisticated negotiations and fearless action. The Wall Street Journal calls us “some of the most savvy environmental agitators in the business.” We’ve saved millions of acres, shown corporations time and again that they can do well while doing good and mobilized thousands of concerned individuals around the world to make a difference.

Event host & supporter Chris Noth

Rainforest Action Network (RAN) and longtime supporter Chris Noth (Mr. Big of Sex & The City) are thrilled to present eco rock, a benefit and auction fundraiser. This event, hosted by Chris, will be held on June 16th, 2014 at the The Cutting Room in New York City and will feature a special live performance.

How can you get involved? The evening will be highlighted by a live/online auction coordinated by Auction Cause and eBay featuring a rare collection of autographed guitars with all of the proceeds benefiting RAN. Shoeholics magazine is proud to be a co-sponsor of the auction as well. One lucky winner will get a beautiful pair of Angela Nuran custom-made sandals, an autographed copy of “The Shoeholic” book, 1 year subscription of Shoeholics magazine print edition and a rare collectible of the shoe-shaped bag, crafted in Italy of genuine leather and rich brocade. Other items up for bid from various supporters includes a signed pair of shoes by Sarah Jessica Parker from her shoe line, VIP tickets to Universal Studios & America’s Got Talent, Ellen Degeneres, diamond watches, to name a few. So, CLICK HERE to support. Your contribution is key to the success of eco rock, and greatly adds to the overall fundraising success of RAN and our ongoing campaigns for the planet, which in turn helps us appreciate the earth we love to walk on with our prized shoe collection!
