Alice in wonderland came to life at Alice and Olivia SS27 nyfw presentation. Fantasy has long become the synonymous with the brands fashion week presentations, which helps transform the collection from static to sumptuous visuals, a feast for the eyes, instant gratification of imagination. Guests could easily imagine themselves in the garments as the models pose and adjust to the theatrical surroundings and props, which included a clever usage of miniature diorama in a handpainted vintage style armoire.

As usual, the presentation had no shortage of the brand’s trademark intricate designs from beaded works, embroidery, to layered detailing using exceptional couture technique needlework on fabrics such as lace, brocade, damask, et.al. These are some of the attributes of the brand their dedicated guests have come to love and expect. Models showcased some of the brand’s traditional silhouettes in maxi skirts, ball gowns, cropped jackets, cocktail dresses, 2 piece sets, layered skirts. Dare I say, fit for a queen or a grand opera ball, judging by the elaborate intricate detailing on the grand entrance making swinging coats and ball gowns. The exquisite pairing of some of the shoes featured was not lost on us. The attention to detail and designs of the shoes coupled with the fantasy story line of the collection helps complete the overall esthetics.The ultra feminine contemporary brand recently partnered with Glance to enable AI-powered virtual try-on, a first of its kind for Alice and Olivia. This technology would create a new shopping experience for customers.
